This is a period of glory for the Computer Science and Engineering profession as the rapidly changing technology creates many opportunities and challenges. Department of Computer Science and Engineering is prepared to meet the challenges and is playing a leadership role in shaping the education of the 21st Century by providing unique educational and research opportunities in the forefront of Computer Science and Engineering.
The Department of Computer Science & Engineering at DRKCET was established in the year 2006 and offers undergraduate programs to students from urban and rural regions of India. The Computer Science & Engineering Department strongly emphasizes on learning fundamentals and analyzing latest technology to develop student’s creativity by encouraging them to take up projects with varying levels of complexity. To meet the dynamic technological changes, efficient training sessions are providing on curriculum subjects and beyond.
The department has well equipped computing laboratories and a rich repository of software covering a wide spectrum of applications. The Department has ten dedicated laboratories with latest hardware and software and also has sufficient well qualified and experienced technical and supporting staff.
Class teachers are allotting to check student’s attendance and punctuality. A Disciplinary Committee comprising of the senior faculty is constituted for maintaining discipline and dress code of the students. Some faculty members are allotted roster duties to check the punctuality of both the staff and students.

- To get an effective utilization of Knowledge, Experience and Skills of faculty members and supporting staff members (besides resources) in the achievement of departmental goals.
- To establish and maintain an satisfactory departmental environment and a pleasing working relationship among all the members of the department that will direct to establish culture of hard work, good governance in leadership and management of the department.
- To develop, expand and establish teaching and research programs for faculty members to uplift the teaching-learning process as per the trends and need of industries.
- To support and increase collaboration and partnerships with industries and other organizations

As technology develops in leaps and bounds, the opportunities for expanding the field of computing grow even more rapidly. The Computer Science and Engineering Course gives a good foundation in the fundamentals of computing and an understanding of the underlying engineering principles to make the students in sharpening their ability towards analyzing, designing and implementing complex systems and place themselves in superior heights in the changing state of the IT industries.
